I arrive by sleigh, and walk up through the thick snow to the door. I peek inside.
“Hello?”
Nobody seems to be here quite yet. I go inside and walk around, admiring the lovely decor. I stand by the fire and warm my hands.
Truffles my ice dragon flaps her wings, blowing some snow, and her claws find ground. “Go back home,” I tell her. She nods and flaps off. I walk inside the room and see Mikazuki warming her hands by the fire. “Hello, Mikazuki,” I say, walking over and putting my white fuzzy gloves in my pockets. “It’s so snowy outside…how are you?”
I look into the slightly open door, and see a solitary figure warming their hands by the fire. En looks very peaceful, and so I attempt to announce my presence without scaring en. I shuffle my feet a little, and after a few moments simply comment on the beautiful ceiling, which appears to be snowing. I see en jump a little, but en doesn’t look too scared.
I hope not, anyway.
“I’m good, thanks,” I reply brightly to LBK, who has just walked in. “Yeah, it’s cold out there! I hope we’ll still have snowball fihgts though. How are you?” I see that Castle has snuck in while my back was turned as well.
I sidle into the large, warm room and shudder from the cold that still lingers on me. Not ready to take off my wool coat yet, I take a cup of hot spiced cider from the buffet before walking over to the three bodies silhouetted by the fire. “Hey guys, how’s it going? This weather is insane. I don’t remember it ever being this cold before…”
I rub my hands together and hold them to the warm glow. “I can’t feel my fingers or my toes, but otherwise I’m doing okay. h hello, Castle.” I turn to wave at Castle, who has attempted to ninja his way inside.
I walk towards the snow, shaking in boots, and listening to music. I pulled out my earbud.
” Hey guys! Isn’t the snow pretty? But it’s really cold out! Beedle, is the cider good?”
I frown. I feel as though I’ve forgotten something. Ah, yes; I reach into my coat and pull out my scarf, winding it around my neck and chin. I stop walking and look upwards. A leaf far above clings to its frozen tree, not realizing its friends had left it some time ago. It twitches in the breeze. I begin walking again, my boots crunching through the few inches of new snow that have fallen overnight. In a clearing a few hundred yards away I see the cabin in which the festivities are beginning to be enjoyed. I don’t intend to join in quite yet. It’s far too beautiful out here, and even the most marvelous human creation pales in comparison to nature. To my left is an old pine tree standing introspectively in the snow, holding birds of all sorts in its branches. I set down my bag, duck under the lowest branch, and begin to climb. Limb to limb I slowly ascend, rotating around the ancient trunk. My scarf catches on needles and I patiently tuck it inside my jacket. After some time–I’m not sure how long–the branches seem less dense and I can feel a wind teasing around my wrists and cheeks. I choose a sturdy-looking limb and sit down, leaning over to bend the branches apart. Through the window I can see for miles. Away to the northwest the gray terrain slopes downwards, and I can dimly make out the sea sparkling softly in the distance. Shifting to a branch on my right I admire the cabin, woodsmoke rising softly into the twilight, warm light glowing through the frosted windows. An ice dragon glides peacefully farther north. I catch my breath and begin to meditatively descend towards the ground.
I turn and wave to Pie Girl. “Delicious! It warms the soul. Just the right amount of spices.” I take a sip, and walk over to one of the cushy arm chairs by the fire. The warmth runs over me, and I suddenly feel very sleepy, despite the fact that the sun has hardly even started to set.
Darnit.
I just blew my cover. *sniff*
I walked over to grab my own mug of cider. I inhaled the smell. Yum.nI sipped it carefully, and it warmed my taste buds. Beedle was right. It was perfection!
In the middle of the ballroom, a small storm begins to pick up. It whirls, giving off a scent of cinnamon and mint. It gets faster, though without causing any destruction. An occasional glimpse of holly or christmas ornaments can be seen.
Suddenly, the storm explodes into bits of tinsel, and leaves me standing where it was. I bow, and look at the slightly empty ballroom.
I walk slowly down the path, enjoying the newly-fallen snow. I always find it magical how quiet and clean a snowfall makes the whole world seem, especially in emphatically-not-city areas. The snow crunches under my boots, and the prisms in the trees throw stray rainbows here and there, projected beautifully on the canvas of the white ground.
I see Piggy climbing down from a tree and approach, not wanting to make him lose his concentration and slip. I wait for him to descend all the way before calling a greeting, giving silent thanks for the authentic NSF Antarctic wear that keeps me toasty.
I decide that it’s probably not the best idea to fall asleep so early, and get up from my comfortable seat by the fire.
“Hey, Enc!” I wave jovially, and start walk towards him, but I stop just in time to avoid the tinsel cloud. “You sure know how to make a dramatic entrance. Was that floo powder?”
“Hello there!” I salute to Kai. Back on the ground, I crouch to pick up my bag, slinging it over my shoulder. “Excited for the party?”
I clap my now warm hands and slip my gloves back on. “That was awesome, Enc? What was it?” I ask. People are now coming through the door a lot faster now, and the wind makes the fire shake a bit. Seeing Beedle looking groggy, I giggle a bit and go over and grab a chocolate gingerbread cookie, still warm somehow. “Mmm…” I mumble, taking another bite.
I arrive neither late nor early, but generally on time. I carry my guitar in one hand and a present in the other. I sweep in the door along with a gust of snow, the skirts of my floaty peach dress fluttering in the cold air. I slip off my white shrug and hang it on a coat hook as I enter. Chilly, I think to myself, but I am quite used to the cold.
It is truly a winter wonderland. Snow falls tastefully about from the ceiling and festive decor combined with the light from the roaring fireplace provides a warm, cozy glow. I walk quickly to grab a cup of hot cider, and greet the people by the fire warmly. “Hello! The ballroom looks lovely.”
I proceed to the stage, climb up the steps and pull a stool to the microphone. Unpacking my guitar, I check to make sure the cold has not caused the strings to become untuned. Then, I begin to play and sing, filling the room with a peaceful background sound as people continue to trickle inside.
“Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock!
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring,
Snowing and blowing up bushels of fun,
Now the jingle hop has begun…”
“Wow, Enc,” I say, walking over into the room and plopping myself on a sofa that spontaneously expanded into a space that previously contained nothing. “That was, for lack of a better word….Cool.”
My couch zooms across the room at my bidding, moving quickly over to the buffet. Before Enc has time to respond, I’ve grabbed three hot chocolates and sit back down on the couch, which has conveniently sprouted mug holders. I zchoom back, and stand up to present Beedle and Enc with hot chocolate. I remove my gloves and jump back into the comfy sofa, and it expands to a roomy, four seat couch. I invite the two to sit down and enjoy the built-in heaters, but they are free to decline if they wish.
“Impressive, Enc,” I smile, “but hey, we can all do that.” And I clearly did, seeing as I just appeared in a flurry of snowflakes scented with peppermint and eggnog, which subsided into fine golden dust as I stepped out.
“Shippy!” I squee, rushing across the room to engulf Armada in a tacklehug as she enters the room. “I haven’t seen you in ages! Oh, you too, Castle, Piggy, but I don’t talk with you two a lot-no offense.” And as Armada leaves to sing, I head over to the sofa, sitting on the arm.
[Are we in costume, or…? I mean, you know, just like you’d be dressed for a dance. Nice clothes.]
I look up, and look into Thief’s strangely rainbow-colored eyes. “Don’t worry about it,” I say. “We can talk now. Would you like a hot beverage?”
I ask because we are located at the end of the room, near the fire, and the buffet is about a hundred yards away. I wave my hand and a mug appears, and several pitchers, all filled with different drinks.
[We don’t need to be in costume. It’s a rather casual party – I myself will describe my clothes next post – so something nice, but not TOO nice.]
[SFTDP]
“Piggy!” I say. Piggy appears a little lost. I hop up, and excuse myself from the others’ company. “I’ll be right back…” I say to everyone on the sofa. Walking over to Piggy, with his scarf and heavy coat he looks as though he’s been away in the woods. “It’s good to have you back,” I say. “Care to join our couch?” Piggy looks over undecidedly at the nowfive-seated sofa.
Having apparently been teleported into the cabin, I look around confusedly. “Uh, I–I think I’m going to get some food first,” I reply to Castle. I look around until I find the buffet table. A bit of buttered cider would hit the spot. Glancing over at Castle, who has now rejoined the sofa, I walk over to a window and see KaiYves standing surprisedly by the tree. I open the door and step outside quickly, closing it behind me so the hot air doesn’t escape. I stoop down, form a crude snowball, and lob it towards KaiYves. It hits the ground a few inches from her feet and she looks towards the cabin. I wave and go back inside, heading towards the inexplicably uncrowded sofa.
“Wow, a magical couch! That’s a new one!” I exclaim, and take off my coat, revealing a casual floral dress paired with leather boots and colourful, mismatched high socks. As I take a sip of my hot cocoa, {hot wintry drinks are the best part of winter…} I notice that Piggy has just entered. I beckon him to come sit on the couch, which has so thoughtfully added on an extra seat.
I look fondly t the magical couch and shrug off my black, floor-length coat. It reveals a simple white long-sleeved dress with blue trim on the sleeves, black striped socks, and short black boots. “May I have a spot?” I ask, after walking voer and fetching a hot chocolate with plenty of whipped cream and shredded chocolate. No sooner have I finished talking than the couch adds another seat. “so how is everyone?” I ask, sitting down.
“Hey, LBK,” I grin, affectionately bopping her on the shoulder. “Nice dress!” My dress is rather simple in itself, but the boots are where it shines uniquely: dance boots. Easy to dance in, but quite pretty; embroidered with white shimmer.

I stride to the podium at the head of the room, a wireless microphone in my hand. I tap the microphone a few times for attention. The buzz of conversation diminishes.
“Good evening, everybody,” I say. “On behalf of the faculty, I’d like to welcome you to Muse Academy’s 2010 Winter Holiday and End-of-Term Party.
“The other Administrators and I are aware that some of our guests have decided to violate the Academy’s STRICT, EXPLICIT, and INVARIABLE RULES forbidding magic, nonexistent technologies, and violations of physical law. We don’t want to disrupt the festivities, and no punishment will result. We will, however, find it necessary to declare this party NONCANONICAL.
Carry on, and enjoy your evening.”
I sweep into the room just in time to see Enc explode into existence hear the tail end of Robert’s announcement. Shrugging off my thick, warm coat and hanging it on the coat rack, I drift over to the people talking around some sort of magical couch.
“Noncanonical, huh?” I say. “Wow! I feel like I’m living in an alternate reality now. Well, not that the Academy isn’t always in an alternate reality, but everything feels less real somehow.”
I walk in, trying to stay to the edge of the room. I think I’m late. I take off my coat, hang it on the coat rack, and see Robert standing at the podium, talking about the part being noncanonical.
“…Non-canonical… well I guess I don’t exist. Not in reality anyway. So is there another me at home still? What am I doing? The ceiling’s so pretty…” Realizing I’m babbling, I trail off and see a large window with a wide ledge beneath it, just the right size for sitting on. I walk over to it, and sit, contemplating the view outside. I love snow.
“Hmm, I just created a window. Does that count as violation of physical law?”
I call to Robert, “This sofa isn’t violating any physical or otherwise natural law, though. It’s simple bistromathematics, really. In any case, you’ll have to address the wungs; they’re the ones who brought this particular sofa in. Though I would argue my bizarre teleportation to be rather more disruptive.”
Replying to many MBers’ questions about my entrance, I attempt an explanation.
“Well, it’s a bit of a… you know… holographic… transmatrix… wibbely… wobbley… sort of thing… I”m not actually here right now, I’ve just helped to set up the ballroom so that you assume I’m here and interacting with you but I’m not really… well… I am here, for all intents and purposes. Anyway, let’s just say it was a really great lights show.” I say, trying to obey the rules set down by Robert.
“Anyway,” I continue, talking to Cat’s Eye, “Fancy a dance? I probably won’t step on both your feet.”
Prompted by Piggy’s snowball, I head inside in time to hear the end of the announcement.
“Noncanonical? Does it really have to be noncanonical? We promise we’ll be good for the rest of the party!” I ask.
I smile at Enceladus. “I’d love to dance, thanks!”
” But what about stuff that is hard to find, but exisistent? Like a good song by Justin Beaver?” I asked. I watched as Cat’s Eye and Enceladus started to dance, they were they only ones on the floor. I sipped my cider, then continued.
” Or bad chocolate?”
“Pie Girl, a good song by Justin Beaver is non-existant… I’m sorry,” I respond. “Hey, anyone want to have a snowball fight outside? It’s getting a bit warm in here.” I put on my coat and head towards the door.
{I meant “non-existent,” sorry. My mind is not with me today.}
” One can only wish. And, yes, I’d like to join this snowball fight.” I gulped down my cider and rushed outside.
“Nobody else for the snowball fight? I guess they’ll come out later. You guys can have fun inside while we’re busy attacking each other with snowballs. Oh man, it’s going to be SO MUCH FUN…“
” Can we throw pies?”
I leap up from my cozy place beside the fire.
“Oooh, a snowball fight! Count me in!” I start pulling on my coat and ski pants.
“Me too! If nothing else, it’s an excuse to go outside and act like an idiot. I love those!” I say eagerly, and, putting on my coat, head outside.
I hand my red parka to a helpful wung and head over to the food table to check out the offerings.
Finishing my cider, I grab my bag and head outside to watch the impending snowball fight. I step outside and let the crisp air fill my lungs. An idea hits me. I walk over to the pine tree again and set my bag down. I make a snowball and put it in the bag. Then another. And another. When the bag is full I take off my coat, put the bag across my back, and put the coat on again. Once again I start climbing, though not as high. I find an opening forty feet up and sit down. Removing my coat, I hang my bag on a convenient branch and open it. I pull my coat carefully on again and wait for my opportunity.
I run outside before anyone (so I thought), and start creating a pile of snowballs near a tall pine tree. I turn my head to the cabin {it’s a cabin, right?} to see Mikazuki coming out in her heavy coat. As I turn my head, a lump of snow comes crashing down on my head. “Ouch!” I look around confusedly, and see nothing. “Where is that com-AGH!”
I carefully construct my mound, and crouch behind it.
” Hah! Can’t see me., can you?” I yelled from my huge mound of hard packed snow. I was attacked by snowballs.
I hid behind a tree. Not the best place, but it apparently concealed me from the others. I could see pie girl behind her mound, apparently thinking no one could get to her. Not so. I make a snowball and throw it, hitting her in the back. Then someone else returns the favor. Their aim is better than mine-they hit me in the head.
“Thanks,” I say, nudging her with my elbow back. “Nice dress. Cool boots.” I hear something about a snowball fight and, gulping down the rest of my hot chocolate, grab my coat and run outside.
The fight is already in full swing, and I scoop up some snow and toss it at shadowfire’s head. Then someone knocks me in the back of my legs, and I slip and fall, still laughing even through I hit my head on the ground.
“SNOWBALL FIGHT~!” I scream and laugh, running outside as I pull down my black leggings and my silver jacket. Oh, you didn’t know I was already wearing those? So sorry.
My first target…LBK. I toss a snowball underhanded at the back of her legs, aiming for the back of the knees. Wouldn’t be the first time they were a classic weakspot!
And my second one is a high toss towards a tree branch. Looks like Piggy might be up there, although it’s hard to tell.
Third? A ball of softly-packed snow right to pie girl’s face. While she’s shaking the freezing remnants off, I slide in beside her and promptly begin upbuilding the wall.
I crouch down behind a snowdrift across from Shadowfire, and begin to make snowballs. No one appears to have noticed me yet. I peek over the edge of the snowdrift and toss a snowball at Shadowfire, who is currently looking the other way.
Next I toss two snowballs in the direction of Thief and Pie Girl. While they are distracted with the fort, the snowy missiles casually curve other the mound of snow they’d been proctecting themselves with. One misses, but the other hits Thief on the top of her head.
As Thief built up the wall, I started scooping snow in my gloved hand, and then look for a target. I see Mikazuki’s snowballs heading in our direction. I duck, and before I can warn Thief, it hits her on the top of her head. I hurtle one back, at it hits Mikazuki in the face. Aha! Bullseye.
“ACK!” I scream. Tim to build a fort. I make a small mound, just high enough to protect me, and so low that it will hardly restrain my ability to get a good aim. My first ball… who to throw it at? I decide to hurl it at Mikazuki with a “whoosh.”
A snowball hits me full-on in the face. Spluttering slightly, I wipe the snow off my face and shake my fist in a joking-sort-of-way at Pie Girl, who is grinning mischeviously at me. I grab a snowball off my pile and throw it at her, but unfortunately my aim is off and it hits Thief for the seocond time. I quickly duck behind my snowdrift (It’s a nice, big snowdrift!!!) and franticly begin digging out a hidaway in the side before either of them can retaliate.
Ignoring the growing knot in the back of my head, I take two snowballs in my hands and hurl them pell mell. one smacks against a tree, but the other hits the unprotected pie girl. I see everyone building forts, but decide not to make one.
I stop digging and look at my little rabbit hole. Snow is scattered randomly in piles outside from my little scramble to get inside. I thump the walls. Though it’s only a snowdrift, it seems pretty solid. I throw my weight at the walls until I’ve hollowed out a nice burrow big enough only to fit me and some snowballs. I venture outside to get my snowballs, and get hit on the head. Standing up, I see Beedle is the culprit. I toss a snowball at en.
I see LBK standing out in the open, unprotected. I quickly take aim and hit her with another snowball.
I quickly throw a snowball at Pie Girl and Thief, too, before ducking down and stowing my snowballs inside my fort. I hear the soft *thump* that means my snowball found it’s mark.
I notice that LBK is out in the open. I grab 2 handfuls of snow and hurtle them at her. I realized the best course of action is to curve the wall. I start working my plan.
I glance at Enceladus. “It sounds like they’re having a lot of fun out there. Do you want to join in on the snowball fight?”
I take a slice of cherry pie and some warm milk and sit down by the fire to listen to the music. Aggie is finishing up “Jingle Bell Rock”.
For some reason I appear to have frozen to my couch. I detach myself and excuse myself from the company of Enc andthe others still inside. I walk out into the snowball fight, diving down behind a snowdrift and forming a snowball with my rather speedy hands. With my back to the drift, no one seems to have noticed me, and I wonder about Enc, still inside. I pop up, and am immediately noticed by Mikazuki, who seems to have built her fort with its back to me. I duck back down before [she?] has time to chuck one at me.
I spot some movement behind a snowdrift. I consider throwing a snowball, but en ducks down before I can take aim. I pick up another one and sneak out of my small fort, ducking behind the top of the snowdrift. I randomly throw it outward, but I can’t see where it is.
“Sure!” I say to Cat’s Eye. “How about an alliance so we can build a fort without being mowed down by a volley of snowballs?” as we run out, grabbing winter coats that happen to be hanging by the door in just the right sizes.
“All right,” I say, giving Enc a high five. “Gotta love those winter coats! Convenient, aren’t they?”
As we step outside, a volley of snowballs is aimed at us. Fortunately, there aren’t any professional snowball throwers out here- yet.
“Yeah, they’re so convenient that it almost makes me think it was magic.” I say.
“Well, this is a non-canon event.” Cat’s Eye replies.
“Of course, that’s why you can reference that fact!” I say, laughing at our Genre Saviness. I pick up some snow to begin building a snowfort. It is, of course, perfect for packing and just wet enough.
I look for another target, and a snowball hits me in the side of the head. “Gah!” I yell, and turn to see Mikazuki duck behind her fort again. Not to worry, I can wait for my revenge. I accumulate more snowballs, smiling as I notice that no one else has taken any notice of me. When Mikazuki pops up again, I throw.
Mikazuki’s snowball hits me right in the shoulder, and dissolves into a pile of puff on my coat. “Hmm…” Who should be my next target? Suddenly, Castle walks out, followed by Cat’s Eye and Enc. Prime targets. ( ) I fling three snow balls in rapid succession at each of them. Only one hits its target, Enc. I cackle evilly, and recede under the protection of my snow fort to make more snowballs. The next two are for Castle and Cat’s Eye. Castle gets hit squarely on his chest, but Cat’s Eye dodges; the snowball just brushes her arm. I break down laughing, then get up. “Your magical coats can’t protect you against tha-OOF!” A snowball has hit me in the cheek. “Hey!”
I make a vivid growling sound as I’m bombarded by snowballs, tossing a tightly packed one at Beedle; then Castle, then Enc, then LBK, then shadowfire, and finally at Cat’s Eye. I make sure to pack glitter inside each one, adding insult to minimal injury.
Because I can, of course.
*oof!* I snarl at Beedle, and whilst packing a double sized lump of snow advance upon her and attempt my best werewolf imitation. Just as she starts to run, I launch at her. It hits her right in the back, exploding into a million shimmery pieces. I pack three more, and spin around and throw. My targets were selected in the blink of an eye, and within a second Mikazuki, Thief and Enc are all on the ground, blinking.
“Ha hah!,” I shout. I spin on my heel again, and time seems to slow as a snowball comes toward my face. *aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnd POOF!* To the laughter of the others, I wipe the snow off my face, grinning.
Aggie finishes the song, and I think about suggesting another. But which song…
“Fort!” I yell. “We’ve got to make a fort! Quick, start piling snow! We have to make a barricade as quickly as we can!” I begin to pile up snow, stopping every few seconds to pack a snowball and lob it at Thief, Beedle, Castle, LBK, Mikazuki, or shadowfire.
I manage to dodge the next snowball aimed at me, leaving it to hit the tree and shower it with glitter. “Good thing that one didn’t hit me”, I think. I might have had to slink back inside, deathly embarrassed I looked like Edward Cullen. I pack another snowball and lob it at Cat’s Eye before en can finish the wall.
“That’s not fair! I look like a vampire! And you know what they say about sparkles… they never go away. Haha! I’m going to look ridiculous when I go inside!” As I’m complaining to Thief, I feel another one hit my back and fall into a lump of giggles. “You-hahaha- you guys can’t-hahahaha-this is evil-hehehe!” I turn around to see Castle’s serious face, and throw a powdery ball at him. It hits him in the face before he can throw his most recently formed snow ball.
“Guys!”, I yell to Thief, LBK, Mikazuki, Beedle, and shadowfire. “Cat’s Eye is making a fort!” I dodge a snowball thrown by the aforementioned blogger. “Let’s make a fort, fast!” The five of them stand there for a few moments, thinking about an alliance before responding.
“Sure”, I respond, and run over to assist with the fort. I yell at the others to hurry up.
“Okay!” I say, rushing over. “Forts are my specialty!” I start heaping snow from the wide bottom of the snowdrift onto the top and packing it down tightly.
(In another part of the party) “Is it too early for cookies? I baked a batch last night and here’s what’s left. Good thing it was a big batch.”
I hesitate for a moment, then abandon my snowdrift and run over to help Castle, Shadowfire, and LBK. I get hit with a few snowballs on the way over, but thankfully none of them are the glitter-kind. I join LBK and begin to dig out snow and pack it onto the walls, occaisionally getting hitin the face with a snowball. Soon we have a wall about as high as our knees.
After shaking snow off of my coat, I walk inside.” It’s NEVER too late for cookies!” I said. I walked over and ate a few cookies.
” These are good, Rosanne. Very, very good. What’s in them?”
“Oooh, what kind of cookies?” I walk over and check out Rosanne’s tray.
I pack my next batch of snowballs with more hot pink glitter, then realize everyone’s going inside, tossing one at Mikazuki and dashing over to the entrance of the building. That way I can get cookies if I want, but I’m fairly safe from snowballs.
“I’m getting cold. You want to go in?” I ask the others. “I heard something about cookies…”
They’re chocolate chip cookies with bonus ingredients – the raisinish things are actually dried cherries – the tangy Montmorency variety. There’s also lots of walnuts (ground up to use like flour) so I’m afraid they’re rather on the heavy side. One cookie = lunch?
Warmth and cookies or the biting cold and snow forts? I decide to stay outside for a bit longer. I start pushing the snow up in a pile, my back to the barrage of snowballs coming towards us.
I run inside, ducking a few snowballs. It’s much warmer, and I see a group gathering around Rosanne, exclaiming about her cookies. I walk over to see what the fuss is about.
“Yum! Thanks, Rosanne!” I take a cookie and savor it slowly. As I chew, I suddenly know what song I want to hear. My favorite of all. I make my way over to the band and request “Snoopy’s Christmas”.
“Cookies? Did I hear something about cookies?”
Belatedly, I stumble through the door, luckily evading a snowball that whizzed past my head at the last second. Before I realize it, I’ve tracked snow onto the floor, and for a moment, I’m ashamed of my rudeness. Fortunately, the slush quickly melts away in the sudden warmth of the interior.
“Hi, everybody!” I say, walking towards Rosanne and her steaming plates of delectable treats. “Sorry that I’m late!” I smile at KaiYves and shadowfire as I take a warm cookie and have a bite. “Thank you, Rosanne! It’s delicious!”
“They are good, aren’t they?” I say to Cat’s Meow, making conversation. After all, half the fun of a holiday party is talking to one’s friends.
“They are pretty flamablamablous”, I agree. I turn to Rosanne and point out that, yes, they are enormous, but since this party is non-canonical it doesn’t really matter.
“Any song requests?” I ask. “I brought my violin, and I think I can do enough songs for it to be worthwhile.”
I’m glad you like the cookies. Aaaand, here’s a batch of another kind – kipferl, which are vanilla/butter/almond cookies shaped like crescents. The great thing about baking for the Museblog holiday party is that we can eat them all up here and you can have as many as you want too!
shadowfire, how about a polka? Old-fogeyish, I know. But I think they’re fun to dance to.
“Yes, a polka might be fun.” I say.
